I am thrilled to be featured in the Artist Showcase at this year’s CODA Summit in El Paso, Texas.
The conference brings together a diverse range of artists, technologists, entrepreneurs and cultural thought-leaders on the topic of art + technology.
It is an honor to share a stage with so many inspiring characters, including: new media artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer; Meow Wolf CEO, Vince Kadlubek; Stamen Design CEO, Eric Rodenbeck; Whitney Museum, Digital Art Curator Christiane Paul (whose book was a required read in my art + technology course in school!); and Domhnaill Hernon, VP, Head of Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.), Nokia Bell Labs.
Last year, at CODA Summit 2018 in Santa Fe, I presented Tellart’s Terraform Table, a contemplative artwork commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum, and which uses machine-learning to playfully explore the notion of remodeling the geological features of our planet in response to climate change. This year I will be sharing thoughts and ideas on playful and expressive systems.
I look forward to meeting this year’s attendees, and continuing to discuss the evolving role of art and technology in our changing world.
